I guess I can manage to post every two months.

Just got back from Houston, where I spent a week with Eric seeing and doing interesting things:

Tomorrow I start my summer job...Girl Scout counselor again.  This year they rearranged the camp schedule, so I couldn't work at resident camp again (because it's only in July, when I'll be in Oxford). Instead, I'm working at Day Camp.  I get paid about the same, which is nice, since I only have to work 10-11 hours a day instead of 24.  On the other hand, they aren't feeding me this time and I don't like the camp it's at as much.  It's not as far out in the middle of nowhere, but still far enough that getting food will be a challenge.

I go to England on July 5th.  The pre-reading is enormous and not fun.  Chaucer in the original Middle English, Spenser and Marlowe in the original 16th-century English, some Shakespeare...and that's only for one class.  It would be nice if the rest of my books would arrive.  I ordered two from Amazon back in April and they STILL aren't here.

Oh, and I did this a year or two ago but I don't remember the results...I did it again recently so I thought I'd post my graph.

I'm giving in to the prodding to post again...

Happy Friday the 13th!

Less than a month left before the end of the semester! And I have a relatively easy week ahead of me: no major papers or tests, DiaDelOso on Thursday ( =no class ), and Texas Association of Museums Conference (I'm not going this year, but my teachers are!)

We went kayaking in lab yesterday to look for basking red-eared sliders. I got a little sunburnt.

Fencing tournament this weekend. We're going to UTSA (San Antonio).

Going to California in 3 weeks for College Bowl tournament. Should be fun. Hopefully I'll do better than I've been doing in practice recently :-\

I'm about to triumphanty return about 15 pounds of books about Suriname to the library. Yay finished paper.

Hi.

Not a lot to comment on.

I've been a little less busy this semester even though I'm taking more hours.  That'll probably change next week when the tests start, though.

We've had a lot of cold and rain and sleet this semester while you Oklahomans have been getting snow.  Today I had two field trips in the cold rain.  One to the Dr Pepper Museum (the rain didn't matter so much there) and one to the zoo (where it did.  a lot.).

I finally finished Season 9 of X-Files.  So now I've seen the whole series in order.  Yay.

I bought a book a couple of days ago called "Step-by-Step Brain Tanning the Souix Way."  It was on clearance at the museum store.  So if I ever need to tan a hide with cooked brains, I'll have a handy reference.

Fu Hsi says hi.

Merry Christmas! (a little late, yes.)

I've been spending most of the break sleeping and watching TV. I've also done a little reading and I'm trying to make the accessories for my next costume (the ceremonial gown which Leia wears at the end of ANH). I have some shoes which will do; I need the belt, the necklace, and the bracelet.

I've also started knitting a Dr. Who scarf.

These are some of the things I got for Christmas:

One more final today and two tomorrow. I'll probably be driving back on Wednesday.

Pop Tarts and tortillas for lunch. I guess this is how I stay so healthy...

Bill Amend will no longer draw daily Foxtrot comics after the end of the year. :'(

I'm now officially the Fencing Club Vice President. Armory is no longer my responsibility...the new girl doesn't know what she's gotten into...muahahaha!

Most of you are on Facebook and know I'm "In a Relationship with Eric Headstream" ...because you're all stalkers
And, because I know it's is the next thing you'll ask, here's a picture:
